Product description

Our ELANEE Washable Silver Nursing Pads reliably protect clothing from breast milk during light to normal milk flow. These washable, antibacterial wool nursing pads are pleasantly soft and cooling. The silver coating prevents the development of unpleasant odors.

The wool side protects clothing thanks to its absorbency. The open knit ensures good air circulation, which is recommended for sore nipples. These reusable nursing pads are an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable nursing pads, as they can be easily handwashed.

Further information, ingredients & material

ELANEE silver nursing pads are made of 50% wool, 42.5% lyocell, 7.5% polyamide with a coating of 99% silver.

Please soak in lukewarm water with a little wool detergent, rinse thoroughly, squeeze dry in a towel, pull into shape, and then lay flat to dry. A slight odor from the wool is completely normal.

What is the benefit of the silver side of the breast pad?

In the warm, moist climate inside breast pads, bacteria can form and get onto the breast. The colonization of the skin with bacteria can lead to itching, inflammation of the breast, and mastitis. Especially in warm temperatures, bacteria can also produce an unpleasant, rancid odor. The biocidal active ingredient silver (CAS No. 7440-22-4) reduces the colonization and multiplication of microorganisms in the breast pad and prevents odor development due to its antibacterial activity.

What is the benefit of the wool side of the breast pad?

Wool and Lyocell are yarns that absorb and store liquid very well, keeping breasts and clothing dry.

Do the breast pads need to be washed before first use?

For hygienic reasons, we recommend washing the breast pads after purchase. All information on cleaning can be found here: Material & Cleaning.

How often should breast pads be changed or washed?

Breast pads should be changed when they are saturated. They should be washed after each use.

Are the washable breast pads suitable for the washing machine or dryer?

Can the breast pads stay in the bra while sleeping?

Yes, the soft breast pads are particularly comfortable to wear, even at night.
