Our ELANEE seat cushion can be used to train the pelvic floor muscles and promote healthy posture through active sitting. It is suitable for passive and active training of the pelvic floor, abdominal and back muscles. The spine and pelvic floor are stabilized and coordination and balance are trained at the same time.

The air-filled cushion has a smooth and a nubbed surface and a diameter of 33 cm. The cushion can be used on any non-upholstered seat. The amount of air can be individually adjusted using the hand pump. An exercise booklet with training instructions is included with the product.

How does training with the seat cushion work?

The air cushion creates a slight instability in the pelvis when sitting. The pelvic floor muscles compensate for this instability and are constantly strained while sitting, which trains them.

The product comes with an exercise program with exercises in various levels of difficulty.

 

Can the seat cushion be used during pregnancy?

Yes, our seat cushion or “balance cushion” is ideal for training the pelvic floor muscles during pregnancy through unstable sitting and promoting a healthy posture. Hormonal changes during pregnancy and childbirth can lead to overstretching or weakening of the pelvic floor with serious consequences. However, intensive training can strengthen the muscles.

Why does the seat cushion have a nubby side and a smooth side?

The large nubbed side of the seat cushion stimulates blood circulation in the buttocks area. The nubs also provide optimum support for standing exercises.

Material & Cleaning

The seat cushion is made of polyvinyl chloride.

The seat cushion can be cleaned with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Please do not use harsh cleaning agents, disinfectants containing alcohol or chlorine or hot air for drying!
